C A T H E R I N E C H R I S T O F I S - Force of nature
Christofis is fascinated by nature breaking through the man made world. "The plants I photograph are often seen as a nuisance and ugly. I want to change that conception and show the beauty in these weeds. The A406 is a major road that travels through Greater London; it is also the map I have used for my journey to create this collection of photographs."
These three photographs all capture the force of nature. Christofis has edited all her photos in black and white which in turn creates more contrast between the background and the nature, helping it stand out more and become the main focal point. Christofis photographs singular plants found against walls and the floor, adding more beauty to the nature as it is seen amongst the opposite.

For this task I went around Muswell Hill during our lesson and photographed where nature has over grown through and around man made objects.
